A lighter, somewhat more whimsical approach than last season, J W Anderson S/S 2011 presented a gorgeous collection of tie dye, doilies and floral prints juxtaposed with a heavier edgy element provided with hints of military in the trousers, black and white imagery on t shirts, and studded collars. This balance between hard and soft is epitomised in one model's neck adorned with both a spiked dog collar, and a rainbow coloured glass beaded necklace, perfect! Also the black leather boots topped with a dusting of swarovski crystals. Bright patterned knits in pink and orange popped. i'm getting a slight 90's american high school stoner vibe, or maybes a 90's raver. i think its the tie dye to be honest, and the little necklaces. Neutral colours in beige jersey and khaki trousers bring a sort of calming feel to the business of all the prints and dyes.
